Lesson Notes

It’s considered rude and condescending by most Japanese people to directly refer to someone using the word 誰 (dare) [Who] with the exception of young children. When referring to someone else, we should always use どなた (donata) or in very formal situations どちら様 (dochirasama)

Yorishiro (依り代)
